Last week on our Live Instagram show we went over wedding band designs that work well as stand alone rings. These types of bands discussed in this post are usually best suited to be worn alone on the hand because if worn together with another ring on the same hand might clash or take away attention. These fun rings make amazing wedding gifts, anniversary gifts, and push presents because of their bold and sparkly look. In most circumstances the following bands are meant to be worn alone because they are thicker, wider, and feature larger than normal diamond sizes. We love the endless amount of customization options available with these designs. These types of rings can either be worn as a stand alone wedding band with no pairing engagement ring on the left hand or for extra added sparkle you can opt to wear your engagement ring on the left hand and a large diamond wedding band on the right hand. We know ring shopping can be a daunting task and for most people venturing into an unknown and detail oriented world.  Keep in mind this post is geared towards clients who at some point will be able to physically visit our store. When picking an engagement ring design it is always important to evaluate your every day lifestyle because this will directly relate to how you want the ring to sit on your finger. For example, a ring that is set higher would not be ideal for someone with an active lifestyle or for example someone who is always putting gloves on each day. In our previous post, we discussed the quality of sapphires and how to determine a nice-looking main stone. The basic idea is you want to make sure the sapphire has the right color vibrancy you are looking for. There is really no true ideal for sapphire and no strict standardization of quality grading as there is with diamonds. Sapphires have once again become an increasingly popular center stone choice for engagement rings and even right hand rings. Last week we posted on the most popular upcoming trend for 2017: the multi sided three row diamond engagement ring setting such as the RS-126. People love these settings for their bright sparkly look and they pair amazingly well with a variety of center stone shapes, ring designs, and metal colors. As 2016 draws to a close, the engagement ring trends for the upcoming 2017 year start to really emerge. The end of a calendar year is the most popular time for ring purchases since so many people want to surprise their significant others with a proposal during the holidays which is spent with close family and friends.
