RS-63 Engagement Ring from Lauren B: a Crowd Favorite

When Kim Kardashian got engaged in 2013 we swooned over her perfect 15 carat elongated cushion cut diamond set in a thin micropave band. Just because this ring set Kanye West back over a million dollars does not make this style unattainable for our customers. If you know Lauren B, then you would certainly recognize this exact setting style as our insanely popular RS-63 design. The "floating cushion" style ring has instantly become one of our best-selling engagement rings. At first, it was all about the floating cushion however, as of late, we have been creating more and more rings with this thin micropave band for radiant (RS-119), round (RS-122), oval (RS-158), and even pear (VNR-13120) cut diamonds to create a floating effect.

Take our original RS-63 design- a thin micropave band, well under 2mm, with a delicate wrap of diamonds on the basket beneath the center stone. The thin delicate band is handmade by our artisan craftsmen which makes it durable enough for everyday wear.  Some may think creating this design is simple because of how simple and elegant it appears but on the contrary it takes much time and care to ensure a perfectly fit wrap and that the micropave diamonds are securely set into the band. What makes this design stand out is the way it highlights the center diamond. Because the band is so delicate, it offers a beautiful contrast to any size or shape center diamond. Viewers are instantly drawn to the beauty of your center stone while the shiny yet demure setting offers just the right amount of detail without being too flashy. The extra wrap of diamonds on the basket creates an elegant touch and allow you to see diamonds not only from an aerial view but from the profile view as well.
